Bereavement and Adoption

Image
Hey There. So as many of you are reading this, you may be unaware that I've taken a 2-year break from this blog. This was something I LOVED doing. However, a series of events in my life happened that quite frankly left me in a heavy depression which I am only just now starting to recover from.  The first event was an uncle of mine passing away the day before my birthday in 2018. I was kind of expecting this one as he had been ill for a while. Then a friend of mine sadly committed suicide which always breaks my heart and I wish I could have done more to help him. I feel so silly for not picking up all the signs but the best thing I can do is educate myself more and although I have experienced less intense feelings than this, ever since Shannon passed away, I have been so much more aware of what he was going through. I hate that he went through that alone but my mission is to spread awareness and what you can do to help people. The final event happened nearly a year ago. On th...

Self confidence

Image
Confidence is one thing that I have always struggled with. Now, don't get me wrong, I get a fair few compliments but all because someone is telling me something doesn't mean that I feel that way about my self. My two biggest insecurities are my boobs and my skin. I have also have really bad skin for as long as I can remember. I have a very oily t zone particularly which makes my makeup fade away after a while. But, slowly I have been finding a skin routine that suits my skin however this may not work for you. Once a week, I apply the "Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing mud mask" which I bought from Boots. This particular one has the scent of citrus fruits which makes me feel like it's doing wonders on my skin. I also apply a Biore nose strip once a week to sort out any nasties on my nose. I find it very satisfying to see how smooth it can make my skin.  Every day after I have taken my makeup off with Garnier Micellar Water, I cleanse with Superdru...

Chelsea's Collections

Image
Recently, I followed a brand on Instagram called chelseascollections. Chelsea is a really lovely girl whom I have spoken to a number of times and she is very helpful and friendly. Any sales going will be advertised on her page so make sure to give her a follow for all updates! I chose to order the 'Olivia' skirt. This is a stunning white mini skirt with an lovely red and blue stripe on the side. The best thing for me is the fact that this skirt has pockets in the front and back. This is very handy if you don't want to take out your handbag and you can pop your phone and keys in the pockets.  It is also an insanely comfy skirt with a little give for if you have a lush Sunday roast and need a little bit more space in your clothes.  This would look lovely paired with a red Bardot top or perhaps a plain black top. I feel the red would compliment the 'sports' stripe that is placed down both sides of the skirt. A black belt would also look lovely with this. For 10...

Dusk Empire Hoodies and Beach Days!

Image
Last week I followed a page on Instagram called @duskstore. These guys sell the most incredible clothes range from caps to hoodies and shirts.  I ordered a Beige hoodie and it took roughly around 3 days to arrive which is pretty fast in terms of shipping. When it arrived, it was beautifully folded with some business cards.  Now, let me tell you, I am massively obsessed with hoodies and jumpers and I have two boxes above my wardrobe purely for this. This is now one of my favourite hoodies. The sizes are a little big but I don't mind as typically I would size up. These hoodies are so so cosy and warm. I wore it to Prestatyn beach and the weather was sunny with a chilly breeze but I was warm enough. Absolutely incredible!  The design looks chic and expensive meaning that you can style it with anything. On this particular day I chose to pair it with some black skinny jeans, Adidas trainers and my trusty coat.  Just a cheeky selfi...

Outfit of The Day #1

Image
Today's outfit was one of my favourites! It was a very simple look but I loved it! The top is a consists of blue stripes on a brown base formed as a crop top. This is perfect for summer as you can show of that summer bod that you've been working all year for! I purchased this from New Look last year to take with me on holiday. The only thing I do not like about this top, is the fact that in certain lights it is slightly see through which personally I am not a fan of. Lovely top though! The jeans I got in a sale from FatFace in November. I love these as they have patchwork and a ripped knee on them. They have an excellent fit especially around the bum area and properly shows everything off. A very flattering design and I would highly recommend these. They are a tad pricey for what I would usually go for but they last an incredibly long time!  Here you can see the full length of the jeans! I love the patch work pattern (although some of my friends aren't so sure!). ...
